How we Hire

If you are interested in how we work together to employ the next batch of Dollar Dealer superstars, the steps below provide all the information you need to know.

Visiting our VACANCIES page you will see the vacancies we have available. If the role you are wishing to apply is not listed, we have 4 roles that you can register your interest.

1.

REGISTER OR APPLY FOR A LISTED VACANCY
The majority of our store based roles are advertised through an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST which means you only have to apply once. Make sure you include the location and role types suitable to you.

2.

APPLICATION REVIEW
A member of the team will review your application, should you be identified as a suitable candidate we will either call or email you to gain a better understanding of our skills, experience and what you are looking for.

3.

DOLLAR DEALERS CONTACTS YOU
When a vacancy arises that matches your preferences you application and details will be submitted to the hiring manager. If they feel you are suitable for the role, we will contact you to set up an interview. GOOD LUCK!

4.

THE INTERVIEW & REFERENCE CHECKS
The first interview will likely be with your prospective manager at one of our stores. This will give them a chance to find out more information about your experience and background.

Depending on the type of role you have applied for, some roles will only require one interview. Generally, two interviews will be conducted – one with the Store Manager and one with the Regional Manager.

If all goes well – we will conduct reference, credit and police checks. If we have identified someone else for the role – we will email all candidates and let you know.

5.

CONGRATULATIONS – YOU GOT THE JOB
Once reference and checks are completed and meet all our requirements, you will be offered the role. A start date and other details will be discussed and you will be provided an Employment Agreement to review and sign. Other documentation will also accompany the agreement.

6.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST DAY
To make sure your first day runs smoothly you will be required to attend a training session. This will be either out South or West Auckland in one of our stores. This will assist you with the systems we have in place.

Your details will be kept in our database and if a position opportunity comes up and your skills and experience match – we will contact you.

Please note: You may not hear from us at all if there are no positions available or if your specific skills are not suitable. We will still advertise roles on this website if roles with specific qualifications and skills are required.
